The Snow Moon is the full moon in February, so named after the ample snow on the ground. Some North American tribes named it the Hunger Moon due to the scarce food sources and hard hunting conditions during mid-winter, while others named it the Storm Moon. This full moon is a time of flux – a time when we are awash with conflicting emotions and a whirlwind of uncertainty. During this bleak time, the essence of the Snow Moon fosters renewal, hope, and embracing change . When the Snow Moon rises, we take time to think about second chances or cultivating a new lease on life – getting a fresh start. It is also a time for awakening, heightened awareness, and forming new connections.
Awakening to your intuitive abilities helps you develop a connection to your Spirit Guides and Angels. Working with your intuitive abilities will teach you to recognize messages from Spirit and trust the information channeled as sacred truth. Learning to recognize subtle or dramatic energy shifts brings awareness to their effect on your current life experiences and those yet to reveal themselves on your life’s path. Using the insight from your intuition and guidance from Spirit will bring harmony and balance into your life, and will foster both a trust in universal guidance and your connection to all that exists.
